Hotel Diplomate - Geneva

No wifi at check-in. Had to ask twice.

The breakfast was small but fine to start the day. By bus and on foot, I quickly got to the city and Jet d'Eau. With the bus no 10 we got to the airport in 30-40 minutes.

That shower was not what we wanted.

So the breakfast would be great selection, except for the coffee. Otherwise very well satisfied. The staff, location also for free parking from 7 p.m. within a few meters, equipment ok it was clean too.

Didn't like sleepy, miserable young female person who prepared the late breakfast. She needs to take a course in manners.

The facts without the fluff

This hotel is a hidden gem boasting really good value for money. The staff, especially the front desk, are helpful and attentive. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Other perks include a well-stocked minibar, although the bathrooms could use some upgrades.

I stayed at Diplomate for two nights, loved the charming vibe and helpful staff. The location near public transport made exploring easy. The room felt a bit cramped, and the noisy street took away from the chill vibe, but overall, I had a decent stay.

The location was superb! It was just a minute away from tram and bus stops. The staff was accommodating, helping us navigate our way around. I particularly loved the cleanliness and the charming breakfast room where the food was good!

The room had a beautiful balcony overviewing the street, and the breakfast was a good continental selection with eggs and bacon. The location was fantastic, just 10 minutes walking to the famous Jet d'Eau and surrounded by shops and public transport.

Outdated furniture.

Stayed here during our trip, it was a real good experience. The location of the hotel was central, really close to the center and all important facilities, and regular Trams. We needed a place for nightlife, everything was perfect.

I thoroughly enjoyed incredible location of this property.

Last time I stopped, had freshly decorated room with very comfortable bed. It was about 10 km from the airport.

The parking facilities would be better organised

I almost thought i could leave a good review, but this hotel is unacceptable. Tiny room with old, torn carpets and breakfast? A real joke! I woudl ve been fine if they had offered a complimentary cappuccino for once. I was like a regular at a cheap motel instead of the lavish getaway i envisioned.

Breakfast was quite well prepared. Only fresh sausage, tomatoes and cucumbers were missing.

Unfortunately the railroad, which passes directly in front of the hotel, is quite loud and vibrates.

The location was superb, just a short walk from the Eaux-Vives train station.
